In September 2001, at age 52, I had lost my mom, had been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and had three of four sons away at college. I was getting things done but life was crisis to crisis. It was time for a change. I had no idea where I wanted to go or how Id get there. I only knew I had to do it. Using my values and goals, Susan and I prioritized what I wanted for my health, spirituality, career and relationships. She became my line in the sand. If I did not act as I said I would we figured out why. From very basic things like organizing my home, to filling out job applications, to dealing with the death of an infant son who died 23 years ago, we faced those things that I had refused to look at for so long. A year and a half later I have controlled my diabetes and lost 75 pounds and I exercise regularly! I have a job that challenges me. My relationships with my husband, my children, my friends and my coworkers are intimate in a way I never could have imagined. I interact with freedom and confidence. Working with Susan has given me a control over my life that I have never before experienced. When things start to slip into chaos again I go back to those values and goals we referred to so often. So, thank you, Susan Costello, for showing me how to recognize my successes and to deal with my shortcomings. -- H. N., manager.
"My life coaching experience with Susan has not only helped me to achieve goals, but more importantly, it has enabled me to discover who I am, what makes me tick, and what those goals really are. She has the gift of being able to find the hidden treasures that allow me to achieve those goals. My sessions with Susan are always productive."

"Working with Susan Costello has been a great blessing to me. She has been remarkably supportive, gentle and compassionate yet skillfully adept at helping me focus on what is really important to me, what stands in my way and what next steps I want and need to take to accomplish my goals. She is a great listener. I really feel heard, and that has been key to my trusting the coaching process. And she has fantastic, creative ideas that I've found eye-opening, simple and practical. I've been surprised to find myself, after every session, muttering, "Well, that was worth the cost!" It's amazing to me, looking back at the process, how someone could help me cut through the brambles to be able to visualize some key goals. In retrospect, my next steps were obvious and the natural outgrowth of years of previous contemplation and experience. But they weren't obvious to me before I started working with Susan. It's also amazing how making some undramatic (I didn't need to move, quit my job, or leave my family), but substantial, additions to my life are making such a big difference in how I feel about myself and how much more satisfied I feel with the direction my life is taking. It may be trite, but it's still moving: that just taking one step--in this case, beginning the coaching process--seems to open doors. Things began to fall into place, largely, I think, because Susan is so tuned in to the needs and inspiration of the moment. You'll be in great hands if you decide to work with her."

"Over the past year Susan has been coaching me through some very big transitions in my life and I could not have navigated through these changes with as much honesty and grace without her help. Her coaching skills helped me identify and focus on the most important aspects of this change and face the fears that have hindered me so much in the past. She helped me to clearly identify my values and use these as a guide to making life's judgements and changes. Our discussions are forever in my memory and her sensitive and insightful coaching will always guide me."

"Life coaching has helped me to identify issues that have stood in the way of business success and assisted me in developing techniques for working around or through these issues. As someone who has gone through substantial change in my professional career over the past couple of years, I count on coaching to ensure that this transition continues to go smoothly."

"Personal coaching is about becoming all you are meant to be, about living a life of passion, purpose, and impact. Susan has created the space for me to soar as a person and as a coach. Her impact has been enormous. Who I am becoming is due in no small way to Susan's support, encouragement, and commitment. On a scale of 1-10 each one of us can achieve that 10 life with patience, effort and determination. But with a coach like Susan, we can achieve a 20, because she gives us her 10."
-- J.J., professional life coach
"Life coaching has given me the ability to focus on something concrete and see it evolve. Whether it's a challenge that I wasn't able to work through in years past or a new endeavor that will affect my personal or business growth, I can look forward to having Susan there to guide me towards reaching that place of peace and satisfaction. It reminds me of a saying that I have seen: I don't know what the future holds but I know who holds the future."

" I'm so glad that I started this journey. In so many areas of my life I have been able to make huge strides. I have lost 30 lbs. with your coaching. You helped to remind me of my values and coached me in a gentle but firm way. I am so grateful for all you have done and I will be telling everyone who wants to achieve more (and even those who don't know they want to) about the difference coaching with you has made. My business has increased and is ever increasing. I am more confident than I have ever been. Along with my strong faith and your respect for my values, I feel I have moved mountains. Thank you. You are a treasure and a rich blessing in my life."

"It helped me most to have someone in my corner, encouraging me, pointing out the negative talk in my head and the ways in which I sabotage myself. Now I have a dialogue with my self and push through the negative talk

"From our first session, I could tell Susan was the coach for me. I had begun my search for a coach after reading, "Take Time for Your Life" by Cheryl Richardson. I interviewed several, but Susan and I were immediately in tune. Our weekly sessions helped me discover where I needed to focus my time and energies and then helped keep me on track. She is a great insightful listener. She coached and counseled, and during our two years together offered numerous tips and suggestions. I look forward to working with Susan as a mentor/coach as I build my own coaching practice."
